A woman in Michigan is facing charges after tracking down the child she put up for adoption and having sex with him.

Aimee Sword, 35, of Waterford Township, has been charged with third-degree criminal sexual misconduct for having sex with her now-teenage son. Parents who place their children in adoptive care are not supposed to contact them, although Sword used the Internet to track him down after putting him up for adoption 10 years ago.

Whether or not the boy knew Sword was his mom is not clear at this point. Sword’s attorney says that she “maintains her presumption of innocence.” Sword has since posted to her MySpace page about how the subject has made her feel close to Lil’ Kim (um… what?) because “she rises during the worst of obstacles.” For both of their sakes — and for the purpose of keeping the pizza we had for lunch — we hope the allegations are false.
